Today I will tell you something about my own hamster Hammy.

Name: Hammy
Age: 1 year, 4 months
Address:
Country: Czech Republic
Breed: Syrian (gold) hamster
Likes: Apples, carrots, and uuugh…… dunno
Dislikes: Dogs, yoghurt, wood shavings being thrown on her head ( ), being picked up by her skin ( )…
Hobbies: Escaping, eating, drinking, eating her cage bars, sleeping

Description-
Hammy is my (mousyblack’s) syrian hamster. She is a female. She is very nice, doesn’t bite, and is “toilet trained” in the hamster way. Yes, Hammy does escape out of her cage from time to time, but she’s ALWAYS behind the one big wardrobe in my bedroom. It’s easy to find her when she does escape. She NEVER uses the wheel in her cage, but unfortunately we can’t take it out because it is attached to the wheel. But, she does like to be in her ball, as it lets her go where ever she wants to go. But even that gets boring after 20 minutes.

She used to have a sister – Pepper. She liked her wheel very much, never escaped and never bited. Her favourite thing to do was EAT. She was a bit over-weight (like me ), so I told my brother to give her food when she finishes it (hamsters like Hammy and Pepper like saving food for worser times, clever things ). He tried that, and it made her be just right. But, about on the 25.8.2008 her cheek sort of had a lump on it, so we took her to the vets, where she died. Poor Pepper!!! Now she lives buried in the garden. R.I.P.

Hello people,

this is Mousyblack. You might know me from my other blog (http://clubpenguincheatsmousyblack.wordpress.com). You also might know that I have a hamster, Hammy, that is one year old.

The reason I opened this blog, is because:

1. Hamsters are really cool, inteligent and friendly creatures

2. A lot of people are scared or don’t like hamsters, possibly hate them, but this blog will prove there’s nothing bad about them (except age ).

3. The only good hamster site I know is http://www.hamsterhideout.com so I wanted to make a blog about hamsters myself.
